Self-Reflection Journaling & Prompts

Self-Reflection Journaling & Prompts - Better Tea Co.

Do it for yourself

One of our favourite things to do as a form of self-care, is Journaling. Journaling is a very versatile and in-expensive tool that can help support your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. You can use Journaling as a way to process difficult emotions, set goals, understand situations, or simply record new happy memories. Journaling offers a safe space for your self-exploration, healing, and growth.

All you need is a pen and a piece of paper!

Self-Reflection Journaling is a little bit more in-depth, if you will, as opposed to simply writing about your day or things that have happened to you. Individuals who use this method of journaling regularly write about their thoughts, feelings, experiences, and observations as a means of introspection and personal growth. Self-Reflection Journaling is a way to delve deeper into your inner world, examining your beliefs, values, goals, and relationships. It gives you the opportunity to reflect on past events, and look into your reactions or behaviours, as well as acknowledge certain patterns or themes in your life.

The purpose of Self-Reflection Journaling is to gain insight, clarity, and understanding of yourself a little bit more. It gives you a way to process your emotions, make sense of the experiences you have gone through, and identify areas for improvement or change.

Journal Prompts

Sometimes it can be a little bit tricky knowing where to start, or you're feeling a little lost. So, here are some journal prompts to help you along the way!
TIP: Screenshot, Print, or Write these down in your Journal so you can access them quickly when you need an idea!

Self-Reflection Prompts:
  1. What am I feeling right now, and why?
  2. What are my strengths and weaknesses?
  3. What are my core values and beliefs?
  4. What have I learned from recent experiences?
  5. What are my long-term goals, and how am I working towards them?
  6. How do I want to grow or develop as a person?
  7. What relationships are important to me, and how do I nurture them?
  8. What challenges am I facing, and how can I overcome them?
  9. What am I grateful for today?
  10. How can I practice self-care and prioritise my well-being?

General Prompts:
  1. Write down anything you want to let go of, then visualise yourself letting it go.
  2. Describe the highlight of your day. It could be a small victory, an act of kindness, a pleasant surprise.
  3. Write down an affirmation, like a positive statement that reinforces your worth, strength, or resilience.
  4. Set an intention for the following day.
  5. Express 3 things that you are grateful for about your day.
  6. Write down some loving words for yourself. Offer yourself some kindness and acknowledgements for your efforts.

We would love to hear from you if you are new to journaling or if you've been doing it for a while and these prompts have helped you to expand your journey!

Take care,
Tamarin
